Kumaraswamy, This is Jenny, PE of the Solana Beach Eco Rotary Club in San Diego. I’m reaching out about the Tijuana River – you have heard about the pollution problem I imagine. I’ve been doing a bit of research in the issues. I’ve made contacts with people in San Diego and Tijuana who have worked on the problem for decades and just realizing how complex the problem is. One person at the center of this is Steve Bender who has done amazing work around the world and wants to tackle the Tijuana River with me. He is understandable busy at the moment – he is presenting at RICON- but we have a date to work on this in July. With your background and experience, I’m wondering if you might be interested in joining us on this project or at least hearing more? Your education in engineering combined with your experience with international water projects along with your Spanish language skill makes you an ideal partner.
