I am the New Club Advocate from District 5400. There is an interest in forming a Satellite E-Club. One of the advantages in forming the Satellite Club would be lower required quarterly payments since there would be no cost for meals or location. On the RI website, this is what is stated about satellite club members and billing:
While satellite clubs may only have one sponsor club, members of the satellite may come from more than
one Rotary or Rotaract club. For dues and invoices:
• Satellite club members who are members of the sponsor club will be counted and billed as
members of the sponsor club
• Satellite club members who are not members of the sponsor club will be counted and billed with
their respective clubs.
One of the interested Rotarians belongs to a club that is not the sponsor club. He is wondering if he will still be charged his club’s quarterly dues (it runs $350), or just RI and District dues ($31.50 quarterly)? Also, who would he pay his new satellite club dues to?
Thank you!

I called her because it was very nuanced.
