Bob is a Polio survivor, having contracted the disease at the age of 5. After he joined Rotary in 2007, Polio Eradication became a main focus for him at the Club and District levels. Bob served as Co-Chair of District 5130’s PolioPlus Committee and later Chair of the committee, before being selected to serve as the Zone 27 End Polio Now Coordinator in 2020. Bob publishes a weekly PolioPlus Newsletter for Zones 26 & 27 and has expanded the PolioPlus Society fundraising program throughout the Zones. To date, there are now over 4,000 Rotary members in Zones 26 & 27 that have collectively committed to donating over $519,000 annually to PolioPlus until WHO declares polio eradicated.
