Dana joined the Rotary Club of Newbury Park, D5240 in 2002. She served as District Governor of D5240 in 2021-22. She has traveled extensively internationally to work on humanitarian projects and polio NIDs. Because of her interest in international projects, Dana has worked with devotion with the Intercountry Committees (ICC) program. With approval of RI and the DGs of participating Districts, an estimated 400 ICC relationships throughout the Rotary world have been formed. They help to expand intercultural understanding, build friendships across borders, and cultivate partnerships to strengthen communities through international service. Dana’s accomplishments include creating the first ICC involving a U. S. District with Romania. Out of that relationship grew Global Grants to treat infants with heart problems; train Romanian doctors in heart surgery; development a 10,000-book wing of a library; and revitalization of Rotary in Romania.
