Ann Marie Kimball, MD, is a physician and epidemiologist. A 25 year Rotarian she is currently President of the Rotary Club of Bainbridge Island in D5020, Washinton state. She served as co-chair of the Rotary International COVID task force in 2021-22. A member of the Rotary Foundation Cadre of Technical Advisors, Dr. Kimball is an expert on infectious diseases, pandemics, and pandemic preparedness and response. She is Professor emerita of the University of Washington. She has taught, written, and spoken widely on the topic of infectious diseases and related medical issues. Her 2006 book Risky Trade: Infectious Disease in the Era of Global Trade serves as a textbook in a number of Universities. Dr. Kimball can assist clubs prepare against the devastation of pandemics. She can provide information and links to a network of national and international experts.
