My experiences as a Rotaractor (including District Rotaract Representative), and my roles in 26+ years as a Rotarian, including District Governor 2020-21, Newsletter Editor for a number of District Governors, two separate two-year terms as District Public Image Chair and administrator of a number of social media sites, have helped frame my beliefs about the role of Public Image in growing Rotary. I believe that, not only do we need to “do good” in our communities; we need to make sure we tell everyone about it! But we need to do it well, using consistent branding. It is not just about saying how good we are, to get a pat on the back, it helps people to know who we are, it helps us get more members; it helps us gain more community partners – it opens opportunities to do even more ‘good’ in the world.” To enhance Rotary’s public image, I have experience in, and can offer support for: • Using current Rotary branding, based on knowledge and experience using Rotary’s Brand Center. • Managing and using social media, in particular Facebook pages and groups. • Producing effective newsletters that enhance communication for and among members of Rotary Clubs/Districts, and their communities.
