As a Rotary Specialist (Membership) I bring extensive experience in and a decidedly collaborative approach to establishing, developing and sustaining entities from startups to established national organisations, from community groups and not-for-profits to government agencies. In Rotary I have particular expertise, having conceived and established, working with Rotarian colleagues with complementary technical skill, the Rotary Club of Mana Tangata, a ‘master’ club with several autonomous, dispersed Chapters formed by Clubs that merged with Mana Tangata, otherwise they would for various reasons have wound down. While Chapters manage their own affairs and finances, and continue actively to serve their communities, governance and compliance is provided by the Club along with annual reporting on behalf of the Club, and its Chapters. I am already providing advice and practical guidance to several clubs and clusters as this Club model is attracting growing interest in NZ, Australia and beyond in the UK.

Rotary member since 2016, primarily as Youth Director in a small club. Have worked as a Business Consultant for the last 20+ years in multiple industries across APAC and North America. Chartered Accountant, fluent in French, experienced trainer/facilitator. Outside supporting main Rotary programs, have devised and run innovative STEM programs for Primary schools and Mock Interviews for Secondary schools.

I’m a highly dedicated person with extensive experience in starting a youth organisation. I successfully performed my role as a youth officer resulting in the chartering of two Rotaract clubs in our district in the Philippines and a community based Interact club in Eynesbury, Victoria. Also I was able to established a youth club and was regarded as the most outstanding youth organization in the city. At all times, I ensure the highest standard of professionalism, efficiency and work ethic in undertaking any youth activities. I am able to work in a team environment and highly responsible when required to perform my task. I worked in many roles of my career as a government youth officer, healthcare provider, a fitness instructor and even as a tradesperson and an entrepreneur related to online retail which gave me an opportunity to engage our young people from diverse backgrounds.

Amanda held most roles in her Rotaract club including President, then DRR, chair of RA and Rotary advisor to RA. Amanda has done similar in Rotary and just completed her third term as club President for three different Rotary clubs. Amanda’s primary role through each of her presidential terms has been to create stability and consistency for the clubs as well as member wellbeing. Amanda has also been in a range of Rotary project and programs, for District, multi-district and zone - her longest commitment being District RYPEN (in various roles since 2005 and camp director since 2018), and at a zone level Amanda served in the Membership committee 2012-2015, Trainer for the Zone’s L&D District leads since 2021, and has been working in various committees with the Regionalisation Pilot including Communications Operations Manager, a member of the core team and the Deputy Chair of the Regionalisation Establishment Team.

Her professional experience is of an international nature, having worked for considerable periods in Europe, Asia and Australia. I have an extensive understanding of RYLA, having been - A participant in 2014 - A Team Leader and Program Director for District 9675 for several years - A co-founder and President of RYLA Oceania, a Rotary International Association that connects and serves the community of RYLA Program Leaders and RYLA Alumni across Zone 8. My co-founder Rebecca Fry and I have been hosting annual Forums of all RYLA Program Leaders across Zone 8 since 2018. I was a District Governor in 2023 during the process of establishing our Regionalisation pilot. I'm comfortable in driving change and exploring new opportunities. I managed farms in NZ where I was the sole employee, so I have had to solve most problems I came up against!! I class myself as a good organiser, whether a project or conference. I'm happy to listen and help when and where required. I'm not keen on red tape and I say "just do it".

A Past District Governor and District Trainer in Rotary , Company Director with qualifications in dispute resolution I have spent many years working in the area of membership especially focussing on bringing in new members and retaining members. I have been a member of the District Membership committee and have chaired the Membership committee within my Rotary Club for 6 years increasing membership from 15 to 53, in addition to retaining the majority of members . have also used the same principles to increase membership in other organisations A strong leader, having used my leadership skills in Rotary as well as in several other organisations in both the community and work. I interact well with both small and large groups to meet their needs and achieve the required outcomes, and have good skills and knowledge in the use of IT to reach more diversely scattered audience utilising video conferencing.

I have been a member of Rotary for the past 26 years, in four countries and cities. They are Seoul, Korea; Shanghai, China; Bangkok, Thailand and in my present club the Rotary Club of Port Nicholson, Wellington, NZ. I am presently an Area Governor in Wellington and have served in this position for four years. Prior to that I was President of the Port Nicholson Club in 2019/20. I qualified as a Registered Psychologist in 1983 specialising in child and adult l behaviour, mental health welfare and human relationships. I spent over 20 years as an expert witness for the District and Family Courts in New Zealand. More recently, the Minister of Education appointed me as National Manager, managing over 160 staff, to design and implement a highly specialised wraparound intervention programme. This programme, for young people and families experiencing and living in the most severe circumstances in New Zealand, was to support young people and the families to successfully develop new positive life pathways. As a psychologist, I had a leading role in providing leadership support for people managing ‘natural’ disasters. The biggest of these disasters was the ‘Cave Crave’ tragedy which, at the time, was the largest of such disasters in New Zealand since the Erebust plane crash in Antarctica.

My professional experience lecturing at Swinburne University and private practice in grief, trauma and loss counselling plus my vast volunteer work with people of all backgrounds and diversity has provided me with the ability to talk and work with anyone in a non-judgemental way, with empathy and practicality. The experience I have gained working with people from our CALD (culturally and linguistically diverse) communities provides me with enormous respect and need to assist our new Australians to understand and be part of the prevention of family abuse. I am an experienced Director being a graduate of AICD. I also have experience in grant making, particularly into Bangladesh, Cambodia and Philippines. My background is in finance, banking and more recently fundraising for the Not for Profit sectors as a CEO of a Not for Profit organisation.

I am an experienced HR professional with a multinational IT organisation with experience working across teams and geographic boundaries. I have held District and club roles in public image and youth programs, as well as serving as a club secretary and club president. I feel I am well qualified to assist Rotary members in our zone in the areas of public image and youth programs. I have built websites at both a club and District level (using WordPress and ClubRunner), as well as being a strong advocate for our brand and improving the resources available to clubs. I have a passion for Youth programs and have provided advocacy at a club level as well as successfully leading a District RYLA style program, improving processes, data management and financial and participant outcomes. More recently, I was appointed as the District Youth Programs Chair leading a team supporting programs including RYLA and YEP.

I have been a Rotarian for more than 20 years and supported IT services, Conference Audio Visual support and Graphic Design for Clubs and District. My profession of nearly 50 years experience in the Film and Television industry formed a basis of my knowledge and skills. In particular our original District 9500, started with Club Runner in 2008, so my experience covers both District and Club versions of Club Runner. My role now supports Clubs in training via ZOOM the various aspects of Club Runner. I fortunately have the time available, (as I am retired and spend most hours at home, as a result of 3 strokes 10 years ago, I have some mobility issues). I am able to respond within a day.

I have a reasonable amount of adult training experience in computing and ClubRunner. More specifically, I have 40 years experience in computing, systems administration and programming. That includes being District 9700/9705 Webmaster for 20 years and Wollundry Rotary club of Wagga Wagga Webmaster for 25 years. My experience with ClubRunner has been at the club and district level for 18 years, and under a year using the Zone version. I enjoy training using Video Conferencing (Zoom), although it can be challenging for the trainer to present video training in such a way that is clear and understandable, and keeps everyone interested. I'm still learning from my students and attempting to keep up with the latest tech features. I am very impressed with the Specialists program and l feel it would be valuable to have a Zoom meeting of the ClubRunner Specialists.

Volunteering, and the opportunity to contribute to their communities, are touted as some of the main reasons people join, and remain, in Rotary. Why is it then that some Rotary club members enthusiastically volunteer for every project while others rarely, or never, do? I believe the secret to motivating busy Rotary members lies in focusing your efforts, proactively articulating expectations, seeking and valuing feedback, encouraging excitement and interest in the anticipated impact, prioritizing legislation, especially with social enterprises, and publicly recognizing even small progress. I have tertiary qualifications in strategic leadership and human resource management plus extensive senior management work experience within 24/7 not-for-profit healthcare services that have utilized large numbers of volunteers. I am therefore able to assist Rotary clubs in introducing effective volunteer management policies, procedures, and processes that will improve project participation, minimize potential risk, and still achieve worthwhile results.

My role at Interplast as the Coordinator for Rotary Engagement, which I have held since 2019, equips me with the knowledge and experience to help Rotarians, Rotaractors and Clubs to partner with Interplast. Interplast was co-founded by Rotary in 1983, and today is the embodiment of International and Vocational Service in its' mission. Interplast not only provides free surgeries in developing nations across the Asia-Pacific, but also trains the clinicians in the hospitals we visit. If a club is looking to support Interplast, I can help with advice on programs to support, fundraising ideas, and applying for District and/or Global Grants. I can also help with volunteering opportunities if Rotarians would like to individually assist Interplast. I am also able to organise Interplast speakers to visit Clubs anywhere in Zone 8, either in person or remotely, to help Rotarians learn about Interplast's life-changing mission.

Over 19 years I have held many roles in both my Club and at a District level. During my year as Club President we celebrated a 30 year project anniversary, hosted an international student from Brazil and introduced the Rotorua Multi Cultural Council as a “Corporate Member”. I am a confident and active user of social media for my Club and the District. I have experience in running events at a Club and District level and have a good working knowledge of many aspects of Rotary and the resources available to members through Club Runner, My Rotary, the Learning Centre and Brand Centre. As current AG I encourage clubs to use the resources available to them to help get the best from their year as president. I am invested in the success of Rotary and committed to working with the Zone to achieve the objectives of the Regionalisation Pilot.

Jeff has been a Rotarian since 1988, served twice as President of RC Cairns Mulgrave and is a Past D9550 Governor (2002-03) when he introduced Rotary to Timor-Leste. He has served in many Rotary District and National roles. District roles have included Youth Exchange Chair, Rotary Foundation Chair, District Trainer, Public Image Chair, Club Vision Facilitation Chair, Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) Chair and, more recently, District Governance Chair for both Districts 9550 & 9560. National roles include Secretary of Rotary Youth Exchange Australia (RYEA) 1999-2002, Director and Chair of Australian Rotarians Corporate Alliance Program (ARCAP) 2002 -07, and Director and Chair of Australian Rotary Health (ARH) 2012-17. He has extensive experience in governance within Rotary; and is an experienced Club Vision Facilitator and Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) Facilitator. Jeff is also President of Sailability Cairns and a Committee Member of Sailability Queensland, involved in enabling people with disability to sail.

For eight years, I have been a proud member of the Rotary, helping fellow club members navigate ClubRunner and My Rotary and guiding them through various Rotary sites. With my experience in coaching new and existing members, I have developed a passion for mentoring and coaching. Jessie Harman can provide support in three main areas: Membership Development, Public Image and Governance. In her Rotary roles, Jessie has helped clubs develop membership plans, identify strategies to recruit and retain members and start new clubs. She is keen to help clubs meet the changing needs of volunteers, provide an engaging and meaningful member experience, and develop leaders. Jessie can also support clubs with public image. With a professional background in marketing and engagement, she can provide useful support in areas of strategy, branding, content and promotion. After a lengthy career in tertiary education, Jessie now works as a professional non-executive director. She can also assist clubs wishing to strengthen their governance. Jessie is a past Director of Rotary International, currently co-chair of the RI Communications Committee and past Chair of the RI Membership Committee. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Wendouree Breakfast in Ballarat, Victoria.

I am Past District Governor and worked in public finance, finance and corporate governance areas of government and not for profit organisations in the Northern Territory for over 30 years. I have qualifications in Accounting, Business, Economics, Public Policy and Management. I have a strong background in governance, finance, budgeting and management. I am Rotary Leadership Institute accredited, and have conducted RLI courses, Master PRLS courses, and conducted Club Visioning and Strategic Planning with Rotary clubs. I have served as RI Finance Committee member and vice-chair, and as a member and Chair of the Joint RI/TRF RI Audit Committee. My passion is The Rotary Foundation, and I have worked hands-on with many global and district grants including scholarships, polio immunisations in India and projects in East Timor. I have served as Director and Treasurer of Rotary Foundation Australia, Regional Rotary Foundation Coordinator, Endowment/Major Gift Advisor and District Rotary Foundation Chair.

I have Degrees in Economics and Law from Sydney University (1977/78) and was admitted as a Solicitor in December 1979, practicing from February 1980 to 1984. I then transferred to being a Barrister in February 1984 and have practiced continuously over the last 40 years primarily in the personal injury field, particularly workers compensation, including insurance issues. Relevant to legal, administrative, youth exchange and protection matters, I served as District 9685 Administration Advisor 2008-10; Governor 2012/13; Youth Exchange Chair 2014-18; and Council on Legislation Delegate in 2016. I have been a member of the National Insurance Committee from 2014 – 2018 and 2022 to date;. I have provided draft Club Constitutions and Bylaws to many Clubs since 2010; drafted new District Bylaws in 2012; and drafted amendments to the Probus South Pacific Constitution in 2013. I was pleased to play a part in the substantial changes made at the Council of Legislation in 2016 regarding membership and attendance. As a member of the National Insurance Committee over many years (currently Chair), I have been involved in many aspects of insurance and risk management. I see Youth Protection as an essential part of Rotary Service, enabling us to carry out our numerous Youth programs and enabling us to have appropriate insurance cover. With the combination of legal, insurance and youth exchange experience, I hope to assist Clubs in those areas.

I’m a skilled communicator who can walk the talk with people of varying backgrounds and nationalities. This allows me to gain trust among my peers to lead others on a new path and give confidence to those struggling to find their feet. A media man by day who understands marketing and face to face communication with ease. My life experiences in the big picture of Rotary in Zone 8 will assist our team strategy to grow Rotary at clubs and districts across the zone. The way we volunteer has changed, and we can adapt with help from our Rotary Teams.

I have 25 years experience in change management of individuals and teams in large corporations. Successfully guiding them through the transition process from where they are now, and into the new era. My skills are: 1. Extensive experience in leadership, management, coaching and change management of individuals and teams. 2. Training and mentoring plans for succession planning in workplaces, this could be applied to clubs for succession planning of future leaders. 3. Workplace Trainer and Assessor experience. 4. Expertise in investment proposals, financial strategy, analysis, forecasting and control, together with risk analysis, identification and mitigation skills. 5. DEI assessments and action plans to provide improved club functioning. 6. Use of social media to connect with club members and the community. 7. Encouragement of youth participation in RYLA programs through community engagement.

As a young female Anglican priest, I leverage my abilities to challenge stereotypes surrounding both the church and Rotary, effectively contributing to my current club's dynamics. Leading Dungog Anglican Church as its rector demands adeptness in enhancing its public image, emphasizing graphic design, website development, and marketing proficiency. This expertise extends to supporting the Rotary Zone 8 project, where I offer insights into leveraging social media for community groups' positive portrayal.

With a background in IT risk management, cybersecurity and technology adoption, I am dedicated to fortifying Rotary clubs in the digital era. My expertise in IT audits, vulnerability assessments, and robust internal controls ensures preemptive threat mitigation. Navigating data privacy regulations, I guide clubs to comprehensive compliance. Beyond defense, I proactively cultivate secure environments, conducting cyber maturity assessments and implementing threat hunting methods. Passionate about technology adoption, I offer skills in secure solutions, cloud migration, and personalised grant application components. I have been a communications expert professionally for the last decade working as a journalist in regional and remote communities before making the transition to government media and communications. I have been involved in Rotaract at a local, District, national and international level since 2018 leading teams and supporting leaders to make their mark on the world. In the communications space I have run many social media pages, websites and strategic communications teams to deliver high quality results for projects, events and clubs.

As a young PDG, a Rotarian of 25 years, a proud 3rd generation Rotarian, who has Rotary in her blood, having being a past IYE in Sweden, RYLAian & past Rotaractor, I can offer a broad range of skills. I have pretty much been every role with the exception of Secretary & Treasurer, with my passion in Foundation, Conferences & Strategic Planning. I am an excellent events manager, as have done club, District & Zone events, with now being the convenor for our upcoming Zone Conference in November. From successful club events, to District Changeover’s & conferences to Zone ones, I love these all & happy to help with any knowledge I can bring to the table. My diverse background and experiences bring a unique perspective that I share with Rotary and Rotaract. I have gained a wealth of Rotary knowledge through the roles I have undertaken. From being an active club member to being on the RI joint committee for Learning, a Rotary Public Image Coordinator to training Coordinators from across the world in Evanston, and using those skills as an RDU Director and Lead Facilitator in Learning. I have been involved in start-up projects involving Rotary and creating partnerships with other organisations which have given me useful experiences to help Rotarians with their projects. I consider that passing on and creating resources to clubs and individuals is essential to the success of Rotary in our zone. I have worked across areas including Membership, Foundation, Governance, Learning and Public Image which has enabled me to have a sound working knowledge of Rotary. The Regionalisation process gives us the opportunity to try out a new way of working collaboratively across our zone.

Experienced journalist with a public relations background who can assist you getting the Rotary message out to your community. Creating impactful content is key to this task but does not need to be overwhelming. No matter how your club chooses to communicate, the content must be well packaged. Telling your story is necessary and defining audiences, methods and strategies will set you on the road to communication success. Branding, photography, social media and general media are all part of the mix. I can provide tips and hints on improving this and show you how to engage with current and potential members. The emphasis is on making it easier for you – Rotarians are busy and none of us have time to spare doing what should be simple tasks. I have worked closely with fabulous photographers and can assist with tips to improve your pictorial abilities.

I have retired after a career in marketing management, business consulting and adult education in Australia, Europe and Asia; and I have been providing professional advice and practical hands-on assistance on branding and logo issues to Rotary clubs in South Australia and the Northern Territory for several years via my “Logo Help Line”. Every Rotary and Rotaract Club is required to follow Rotary International’s guidelines on how to use their trademarks and logos. Only by having all clubs consistently using the correct Rotary logos will we achieve the level of brand awareness that we are hoping for in the community. I have a wealth of practical experience in this area, and I am quite familiar with Rotary’s Code of Policies, Brand Centre, and Visual Identity Guidelines; so If you find yourself lost looking for logos and lockups, or feel flummoxed by fancy file formats, just contact the Logo Help Line.

Loryn has been a highly involved member of Rotary for the past 29 years. She has held club, district and Zone International roles. Her focus has always been on Rotary's Public Image and Membership growth. She was a Rotary International Public Image Zone Area Coordinator for Zones 7 and 8 and was able to negotiate free Rotary advertising videos on ABC after 9 pm for a year. She also project managed a walk through Melbourne city including all districts in Victoria and initiated a Public Image group combining all all five Victorian districts for 11 years. Loryn. has a BBus with majors in Marketing and Events and a Masters degree in Destination Management and events. Her absolute focus is on outcomes - and she always delivers a profit on all of the more than 20 major projects she has managed over her Rotary career. She is now semi retired

I am a fundraising, sponsorship and marketing specialist. I am honoured to have worked with organisations that make a difference in our community such as Auckland City Council, Hamilton Gardens, Auckland War Memorial Museum, Paralympics New Zealand, Well Foundation and Toi Ngāpuhi. I am a Board Member of YES Disability Resource Centre Services Trust, a Member of North Shore Rotary - Fundraising Director, part of the Golf (Fundraising) Committee, Fundraising Action Group, a member of Major Fundraising and Grants Portfolio Committee for Zone 8 and a Trustee for Rotary East Coast Bays Trust. I am a current member of Institute of Directors, Women on Boards and Moceanic. My greatest passion is people. I can offer my skills and knowledge including workshops and advice on fundraising and marketing to assist our Rotary clubs with their projects and fundraising efforts. My experience as a Past District Governor, the various Rotary Leadership roles I have experienced in Rotary; Melbourne Baseball Club Secretary and later Melbourne Baseball Club Chairman on two occasions, successfully working in Real Estate for 50 years plus, I feel qualifies me to be a Rotary Specialist in Membership.

I am Certified Professional Engineer (Chemical), Member of Engineers Australia and registered with the Board of Professional Engineers Queensland (Petroleum Engineer). During my career I have worked on many major projects and developed an understanding of project management including economic evaluation, budgeting and scheduling, risk assessments and RACI charts. During the implementation of the Zone 8 pilot I lead the Transfer of Functions RET and the Steering Group Change Management Team. As a Rotarian I have strong understanding of our Rotary Foundation through my role as District 9510 Rotary Foundation Chair (DRFC) for 2020-22. After serving as DRFC and attending Zone Foundation L&D three times I have strong knowledge on TRF including District, Global and Disaster Response Grants, Global Grant Scholarships, Vocational Training Teams, and Peace Fellowships. I understand grant reporting, stewardships and Global Grant applications. I am a PHS member and major donor and have strong understanding of the giving side of TRF.

As an Anglican Priest I have been subject to a rigorous regime of both professional standards scrutiny and ministry suitability checks for over thirty years, and I believe that this background not only equips me to offer advice and guidance on protection matters but also attests my credentials to act as a protection officer for Rotary/D9510. I see the position first as one of equipping Rotary club officers with basic protection knowledge, but primarily as being a resource providing reliable and timely information and support in all matters protection, including club level training and visits. I am available most of the time and have publicly committed to chasing up queries and unknowns if I don’t happen to have ready answers. In this way I hope to instil confidence in clubs and club officers and so provide a useful and dependable protection response to whoever might contact me.

My experiences as a Rotaractor (including District Rotaract Representative), and my roles in 26+ years as a Rotarian, including District Governor 2020-21, Newsletter Editor for a number of District Governors, two separate two-year terms as District Public Image Chair and administrator of a number of social media sites, have helped frame my beliefs about the role of Public Image in growing Rotary. I believe that, not only do we need to “do good” in our communities; we need to make sure we tell everyone about it! But we need to do it well, using consistent branding. It is not just about saying how good we are, to get a pat on the back, it helps people to know who we are, it helps us get more members; it helps us gain more community partners – it opens opportunities to do even more ‘good’ in the world.” To enhance Rotary’s public image, I have experience in, and can offer support for: • Using current Rotary branding, based on knowledge and experience using Rotary’s Brand Center. • Managing and using social media, in particular Facebook pages and groups. • Producing effective newsletters that enhance communication for and among members of Rotary Clubs/Districts, and their communities.

In his law firm, Michael is involved in a range of legal areas, including governance, trusts, commercial, property, Māori issues, crisis management, and dispute resolution. Michael's approach to legal services is consistent with the Rotary Four-Way Test: 1. Is it the truth? 2. Is it fair to all concerned? 3. Will it build goodwill and better friendships? 4. Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

I particularly seek to be a part of the solution to reversing declining membership numbers across Zone 8 through the creation of highly visible community projects which attract community appreciation, and hence enhance the desire for people to become Rotarians. I feel I bring to the table both business leadership skills, and a reasonable understanding of how the District structure model has both been successful and unsuccessful. Raising the profile of Rotary is a huge part of future success. We have a lot of great stories to tell/sell.

I am a concerned and passionate advocate for Growing Rotary across our zone. Working collaboratively with like-minded Rotarians to work on different models of club / groups so we present attractive volunteering and networking opportunities to the public in our communities is essential for us to be relevant in the world today. Having presented, led and worked with groups at district level and beyond has given me knowledge and experience to be able to help Rotarians who are wanting to look at new ways to engage their members and grow our organisation to meet future generations expectations. In my working life I work with a diverse range of people within my architectural practice and have developed skills in strategic and lateral thinking which I believe can benefit Rotary at many levels.

As a Sommelier I am a trained, knowledgeable and educated Wine Professional who specialises in all aspects of Wine Education, Service and Wine and Food Pairing. The Role and qualifications of a Sommelier today is much more specialised and informed than that of a wine waiter. In the period of lockdown, during COVID, the opportunity to undertake ZOOM Wine Appreciation sessions evolved and, subsequently, became very popular. Some would say it was no surprise that a Wine Appreciation via ZOOM was more fun and entertaining and even informative than a more structured presentation on Professional Ethics, Alternative Dispute Resolution and Conflict Management and the Four Way Test, the other areas in which I specialise. My own journey in becoming a Wine Educator/ Wine Judge/ Sommelier came about during period of Sabbatical Leave whilst a Law Academic at Western Sydney University during which I wrote the first “Australian Wine Law” book.

As permanent member of the RAWCS cath lab team, I used my skills as a technical specialist in interventional medical imaging to assist with the relocation of ten cardiovascular catheterisation laboratories from Australia to developing countries. The cath labs were installed in Mongolia, Nepal, Sril Lanka and Fiji. Relocating complicated equipment to developing countries is the easy part of a project. After installation, we need to ensure the equipment is used in compliance with radiation, mechanical, electrical, chemical and environmental standards. Planned maintenance visits need to factored in at the planning stage to ensure ongoing compliance. If a breakdown occurs, a factory trained field service engineer may need to travel to site. Rotary Specialist Group . Philip Clancy. I have been fortunate so far, to have had 32 enjoyable years in Rotary engaging in a wide range of areas locally, nationally and internationally. Background in Horticulture and Teaching of apprentices and adults. My work and interests have involved me in many Environmental studies, issues and projects. Undertook Mentoring within the workplace, with members of Rotary and also as part of Rotary’s Mentoring of Victorian Senior Police Program. Developed and delivered New Member Orientation programs. Introduced an online E-club via a Satellite club I have a country background and appreciate issues within Rural areas.

With a robust background in strategy development, policy advising, and organizational governance, I bring significant expertise in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging. As the National Manager at the Multicultural Youth Advocacy Network (MYAN) Australia, I have led national initiatives that promote youth migrants and refugees' rights. I serve as the President of the Equal Employment Opportunity Network (EEON) and an Advisory Board member for Welcoming Cities, focusing on inclusive policies and environments. My work at the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission and various international NGOs, including the United Nations, has honed my skills in building respectful and safe environments for diverse communities. Extensive experience in youth programs for almost 20 years as a participant, facilitator and Director of RYLA. Founding Chair of RYLA Oceania, a Zone-level initiative designed to enhance collaboration of RYLA District Leaders across the Zone and improve opportunities for RYLA Alumni to continue their RYLA journey. RYLA Oceania has held 5 Forums for RYLA District Leaders across Australia and New Zealand and two advanced year-long leadership programs for RYLA Alumni. As District Visioning Chair, I have assisted numerous clubs in creating a 5-year strategic plan. Initially, I led a team of Rotarians who conducted in-person Visioning sessions lasting 4 hours. During COVID, with so many clubs meeting via Zoom or similar, I came up with an online version of Visioning, usually over 2 shorter sessions and using technology (Google Forms) to obtain the necessary ideas from club members. They then voted online for their preferred club goals to go to a Club Assembly for a vote. I provided the necessary resources (PowerPoint for club assembly, timeline templates, etc.) and support to make it easier for clubs to arrive at their long-term goals broken down into short-term chunks for their club to achieve each year plus on-going future support to help them measure their success.

BACKGROUND TO GRAFFITI REMOVAL EXPERIENCE - Joined Turramurra Rotary in second half of 2007 - Commenced Graffiti Removal Project in Jan 2008 - Purpose of project: o Clean up suburbs of Turramurra, Warrawee (and later Pymble) o Promote club in local community - Using a purpose built trailer our team of 3/4 members clean graffiti every Tuesday morning unless raining or no graffiti. Financed by Council. - Spoken to over 80 Rotary clubs to promote taking up of project - Deputy Chairman of Graffiti Removal Day, a NSW State Government initiative that ran for about 8 years, to create awareness about graffiti. - Always delighted to provide advice and to assist clubs develop the project and expertise.

I have been a member of, or led, learning and development teams from my club through to the Zone level since 2015, focused on supporting learning for Rotaract members. I'm a veteran of the digital industry. I've been involved with digital transformation for nearly 25 years. In that time I've offered strategic advice to many of Australia's biggest brands. I was responsible for 15 years for digital strategy for the Toyota company. We were the leading automotive site in the world and our strategy was at least 20 years ahead of any of the competition. I managed the biggest digital advertising account in Australia. More recently I've been involved in the delivery of digital advertising and marketing for the tourism industry. Both in Australia and overseas.

I am a very experienced management accountant having consulted to the Not for profit sector in management accounting for the past 30 years. In 2013 I set up my Company Treasury Made Easy Pty Ltd with the strategic intent to help SME's, NFP organisations and families manager their finances using Xero Cloud accounting software. I have over the past few years successfully migrated a number of Rotary clubs / Districts from MYOB or spreadsheets to Xero accounting systems. I do charge a modest fee for this work with the aim to the outcome being of mutual benefit to the Rotary Club and Treasury Made Easy Pty Ltd.

As an experienced Rotarian with 15 years+ community, volunteer and leadership experience with a passion for health equity to address social disparities using evidence-based public health principles. With skills in project planning and management and expertise in preventative population health promotion, screening, healthcare programs, I have demonstrable experience supporting strategic community-centric initiatives to improve priority population health outcomes for disadvantaged and marginalised communities. I have a Master of Public Health complementing my broad multidisciplinary business, organisational and leadership skills gained throughout my extensive international career and roles with Victorian Department of Health. I have a breadth of domain knowledge across government and private sectors with Rotary and other community leadership experience to deliver community-centred programs. I have lived experience with diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) advocacy, focussing on LGBTIQA+ health equity, women’s health and community empowerment in Southeast Asia and working with culturally diverse and First-nations communities using intersectional approaches.

I joined Rotary in 2007 after hosting a young boy who came to Australia for heart surgery. In Rotary I immediately became involved in RAWCS as I had already been travelling overseas doing International development work and humanitarian service projects. In 2010 I established a charitable foundation, Pink Umbrella Foundation to provide governance and funding to the international development work. Currently I am the RAWCS Eastern Region Project Coordinator. I ensure RAWCS project managers met governance requirements for the tax deductible status RAWCS has. I am aware of criteria of working in developing countries having established a charitable foundation. I travel regularly overseas to various countries, working on sustainable development projects. Part of my role in RAWCS is supporting Rotarians working in developing countries and keeping them across regulations from our government.

Thaya Ponniah has been a Rotarian since 1998. He was the President of the Rotary Club of Colombo South (District 3220, Sri Lanka) in 2002/2003. He was presented the “Best President” and the “Best Club” awards. Thaya also became a major donor during his presidency in Sri Lanka and was instrumental in making his club a 100% Paul Harris Fellow club in the district. Thaya was the District Chair for Vocational Service in Sri Lanka in 2003–2004. He again became president of the Rotary Club of Strathfield (District 9675, NSW, Australia) and was presented with the “Club of the Year” award for District 9675 in 2021/2022. Thaya is currently a Paul Harris Society member and a major donor at level 2. Thaya has been the District Fund Raising Chair of the Foundation for the last 2 years, and he is currently the District Chair for International Services.
